Orthotics, hearing aids and meltdowns

Well its been awhile since I have posted! Man have we been busy...
Today we 1..went to get Jadyn evaluated and possibly fit for orthotics. Great news he only needs an insert woo hoo! He has this crazy big toe~both feet that can do almost anything, NO KIDDING! That baby can almost suction any shoe and the tread on the bottom is only worn on that side. But he has great posture his walking seem just fine and all he needs is a strong sole support and an insert if we feel that he needs later.  So on on appt 2 and 3. We get his hearing checked (gasp) and recheck for his ears. So as always we do a hearing check 1st and he actually sat down and worked with the guy, whom I later found out was a the doctor. We were in a room sound booth tapanogram which measures fluid and a table of hearing aids. Jadyn did very well for them not me, but he has a 40% hearing loss in the left ear and fluid, which goes hand in hand. We did look at the hearing aids and he actually did great for the exam too. They did not see me wanna hang the kid by his toe nails (remember the big toe) before the doctor entered the room. The fluid has gone down since the last visit and we are gonna give it 6 more months and see how much the fluid goes down from there. The plan is to get him hearing aids in December, we will do the hearing test and another check. If tests reveal the same hearing loss we will move forward with the aids. They will basically buy time to let his little canals to grow. No they are not permanent, but it still breaks my heart. So yes I was the one who had the meltdown today. Yep right there in the office waiting in between doctors. I just thought how strong Jadyn is and how he just rolls with the flow no matter what the circumstances. Amazing! There are no words for it.Well yes there is.... we serve an awesome God!!♥
