I have been always loved writing. Here lately its been on my heart a little more so than normal. Yes there are some situations that increase these themes or words but I just thought I would share.

Needing

The sand,
between my toes.
The sunshine
on my face.
The seagulls
in my ears.
The waves
to rock me to sleep.

I do

Who misses a friendship of laughter bonded through the years?
Strengthened by memories, babies and tears.
Who is longing for the day for a visit or a call?
Wondering what it was that was the final straw.
Will we ever be the same or always far apart?
Is there too many times of betrayal or hurting of the heart?
Who is praying we can fix the mess we have created?
Hoping that our feelings won't be shamed or gated.
Who is the one who thought you'd always be there?
I am afraid that you really never cared.

Busy, Busy ♥

We had a nice weekend. Olivia played ball in Kansas City Saturday and Sunday. Jadyn and I went Saturday. It was nice to be able to go to games and  actualy watch a game without Jadyn running around like a crazy man. Sunday it was cold never made it to 60 degrees so we opted out and stayed home. My intentions were to go get groceries and do the laundry thing. But as I was headed out the door I realized that my keys and purse were in Bryce's car. Guess what? No shopping! So I did laundry and got in a chick flick. I was able to read a book this weekend! I know, how exciting. I never had read a book that was a movie as well but I am now interested to  watch the movie Dear John. VERY GOOD! Disappointed in the outcome though, I did learn that the writer also wrote The Notebook.
As soon as Olivia and Bryce got home he immediately started unloading the car. Little did I know that she was organizing a scavenger hunt. She has such an imagination that it just blows me away! The final destination revealed an herb garden~that I had my eye on for sometime. I never expected any of it. I love surprises and that really made my day.

Today is Bryce's birthday. We got him a couple of gifts and made Southwest Egg Rolls for dinner. I can also say that I hid a small cake in the fridge and he never seen it. I was fun to listen to Jadyn sing happy birthday! We had a picnic in the living room and the kids had a blast.  We haven't done that in a long time, since we got new carpet in November.

It is hard to believe that we have celebrated 17 birthdays together! WOW!!

Well isn't this fun?

Well its spring and I truly am a fan of this time of year. I like the green grass, blossoming flowers and trees, the smelll of fresh cut grass. But it is also the time of year where the madness begins. We have softball (Bryce & Olivia), Jadyn has horseback riding on Mondays and now that it is getting nicer, ski practice. May 15th Bryce and Olivia are in the Wichita Riverfest. It is our 1st time going and their 1st time participating, so yes it is kind of exciting and as a mom freightful. I enjoyed the Pomona Lake ski show so I can only imagine what the next one is like ~ Olivia is the top left and Bryce is on the bottom row 2nd from the right.

Since I went to the doctor last week I now have clarence to go back to the gym and start running again ( I had a minor surgery and yes all is well). I try to go to the gym (brace yourself) @ 4:30 in the morning, before Bryce is gone to work  and the kids are up.  I admit I feel better (more awake, alert, I sleep better) it just makes for a long day. But lets not forget the laundry, dinner, dishes, homework and don't forget Young and the Restless♥.  It is days like these that make me think of when I worked Monday through Thursday and I had Fridays off~  it was like I had a head start or something. But just like my new favorite  saying "I am gonna keep on keepin on" and on that  ♪ note haha I have to go to bed and get ready for the fun to start again tomorrow
